Pia Van Peteghem

Pia Van Peteghem’s ceramics establish itself with a subtle mix of force and delicacy. Her passion for clay working transmitted by her grandparents sculptor and ceramist is the same for her sculptures or her domestic ware. Turned, molded or cast, these porcelain shapes are refined, simple, solid, the angles rounded, the surface is polished until it gets a silky touch. With her collection Landscape, the dyed in the mass colors form a delicate shade as well as an horizon of moving lines floating within the white clay, in between a mineral and aquatic landscape that inspire contemplation of our daily life.
