German vintage

The vintage choice of Curieuse galerie is focused on german ceramic between the fifties and the seventies. Carried out by some sixty workshops, the industrial production of the moulds leaved a great artistic liberty to the enamelers testing unexpected associations : layers of glazes on brick shaped vases with architectural lines, decor inspired from textile patterns, relief decor with lava enamels like volcanic rock. This post war Germany has opened itself to the most innovative experiments, at the crossing road from Scandinavian, Italian and east Europe influences.
